We operate 24 x 7 (365 days/yr) and have a variety of shifts available, making taxicab driving an ideal "2nd job", and perfect for Students, Retirees, Homemakers, and others that require flexibility in their schedules.
Independent Contractor Opportunities for Professional Drivers
REQUIREMENTS - please read first-->Qualifications
1. Be (at least) 24 yrs old
2. Possess a clean driving record
3. Be clean and professional in appearance and demeanor
4. Be a Boise resident for (at least) 3 yrs
5. Own and be familiar with the most-recent editions of the DTG Brand Ada and Canyon County Map Books
6. Be knowledgeable of Boise and the surrounding area
7. Possess a full command of the english language
8. Possess a US DOT Commercial Driver License (or be able to pass exam)
9. Be able to successfully pass a State & Federal criminal background check

Costs
Taxicab Drivers Licenses are Regulated and Issued by the City of Boise and require a State and Federal Background Check and a DOT Physical
The Total Cost for your 1st Taxi license is about $100 (depending on the Medical Examiner you choose)
If you have any questions concerning your eligibility for a City of Boise Taxicab Drivers License, visit the City Clerk's Office at City Hall or contact them at 384-3710
In addition, You will also need $105 ($55 Deposit and $50 on account - Payable to the Boise Airport) for your Airport Taxi Line Electronic Pass
And lastly, an initial Refundable Insurance Deposit of $100 (Payable to Boise City Taxi)
Bringing your Total Initial Startup costs to about $300
Taxicab Driving can be a comfortable Full-time endeavor also.
